Join Ocean County resident Melissa Bonifacio as she shares her time-honored tomato sauce recipe and canning technique for long-term preservation.

Learn how to make and can your own tomato sauce.**

Take your tomato sauce and original recipe – with step-by-step instructions – home with you.

Enjoy a post-instruction pasta meal, and connect with fellow attendees.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR

This is a hands-on experience. All material and ingredients will be provided as part of your registration.

Discover the story behind the recipe.

Melissa is a realtor in Toms River who cooks, sews, teaches Mah Jongg, and makes her own sourdough bread and limoncello. She's also a Rutgers Master Gardener of Ocean County.

** Since homemade tomato sauce takes four hours to cook, you’ll make your own sauce from scratch in the workshop and take it home with you to finish cooking.
