For this workshop, we're partnering with St. Peter’s University Hospital’s Child Life Program and the NJ Division of Child Protection and Permanency to help bring holiday gifts to children served by these programs. We’ll be collecting new, unwrapped toys and delivering them to the program leaders in time for the holidays.
WHAT YOU'LL LEARN
Join Bridge Events in South River, NJ, for a hands-on Homemade Tomato Sauce & Canning Workshop. Led by Melissa Bonifacio, you'll learn the time-honored process of turning fresh tomatoes into homemade sauce while learning the basics of safe canning and preservation.
Learn how to make and can your own tomato sauce.**
Take your tomato sauce and original recipe – with step-by-step instructions – home with you.
Enjoy a post-instruction pasta meal, and connect with fellow attendees.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
This is a hands-on experience. All material and ingredients will be provided as part of your registration.

Melissa is a realtor in Toms River who cooks, sews, teaches Mah Jongg, and makes her own sourdough bread and limoncello. She's also a Rutgers Master Gardener of Ocean County.
** Since homemade tomato sauce takes 3-4 hours to cook, you’ll make your own sauce from scratch in the workshop and take it home with you to finish cooking.
